According to the Environmental Protection Agency, "Climate change is a problem that is affecting people and the environment. Greater energy efficiency and new technologies hold promise for reducing greenhouse gases and solving this global challenge."

  • ICLEI- Local Governments for Sustainability: ICLEI was founded in 1990 as the 'International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives'. It has grown to an association of nearly 1200 local government members who are committed to sustainable development.
