|Title:||RePower Humboldt Town Hall Meeting|
|Date:||09.26.2012 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm|
|Location:||Wharfinger Building, 1 Marina Way, Eureka, CA 95501|
The Redwood Coast Energy Authority and the Schatz Energy Research Center at Humboldt State University are pleased to announce the release of their RePower Humboldt Strategic Plan. The plan lays out how Humboldt County can meet the majority of its electricity needs and a large portion of its transportation and heating energy needs using local renewable resources. Doing so will create jobs, stimulate the local economy, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and increase our local energy security. The RePower Humboldt plan is the result of more than two years of research, analysis and community involvement. It lays out an array of opportunities and recommends a set of actions for moving forward.
This meeting will discuss the findings and recommendations of the RePower Humboldt Strategic Plan and will provide an opportunity for people to ask questions and provide feedback. We encourage you to come and share your ideas and vision for a sustainable energy future for Humboldt County.
