RCEA Employment Opportunities

Work with us....

The Redwood Coast Energy Authority offers a variety of ways individuals may work with us to help us ensure long-term energy sustainability in Humboldt County, including:

  • Staff: RCEA currently employs ten full and part-time staff.  Complete staff job descriptions are available for download from the RCEA on-line Document Archive.  Current openings will be posted here.
  • Student Interns: Interns provide a wide range of services to RCEA, including office support, canvassing, CFL sweeps, web site development, and graphics design.  Numbers fluctuate, but can range from 5 to 20 interns depending on need.  Intern openings are usually posted on the Humboldt State University Career Center Springboard web site.
  • Workforce Development Trainees:  RCEA partners with local workforce training organizations to provide on-the-job training opportunities.
  • Service Learning Projects:  RCEA works with Humboldt State University's Engineering 215 class (and others) to provide real-world service learning opportunities for students.
  • Volunteers:  RCEA incorporates volunteers into its operations as availability and opportunities permit.  Please contact us (info [at] redwoodenergy [dot] org) if you would like to volunteer.
  • Contractors:  From time-to-time, RCEA solicits proposals for qualified contractors to work with our RCEW direct install programs, or to provide other professional services to the organization.
